Information for Buyers

As you begin to think about buying a home, you're probably acutely aware that this is likely to be your greatest investment ever (short of children or a good marriage), and you might be wondering if there's anything you really need to know as you go into this process. This is where your real estate professional comes in. With the help of a trained agent, you can come out on top of a closing that might otherwise have pushed your retirement ahead a decade!

Five reasons to buy your home with a REALTOR®

  1. Get access to all the listings. Some properties are never posted publicly.
  2. Know all the current facts on properties you're interested in. Did you know listings that are pending condition removal still show up on Realtor.ca as active? It's not worth spending time pouring over listings that are nearly sold. Let me help you focus on what's truly available.
  3. Negotiate with the help of a real estate professional. Take the emotion out of negotiations and allow me to use my experience to represent you and come out on top.
  4. Get help and advice every step of the way! Need a suggestion for a home inspector? Not sure how to port your utilities? What is a deposit and how much should you offer? What is a reasonable time frame to remove conditions? How can I put my best foot forward in a multiple offer situation? How should I price my home in the current market? What did my neighbours house sell for? What is an RPR and do I need one? How do I sell my house when I have a tenant living there?
  5. Make a solid investment that pays off down the road. I am honest and pride myself on my client relationships. I won't allow you to buy a lemon just to make a commission. I value you, your hard earned money and your new home!

New homes for sale hit the market daily. As your Buyer's agent, I will be in regular contact with sellers and other real estate agents to ensure you see all the newest listings right away, whether or not they're made public. I will also make sure you see only the properties that meet your needs and investment preferences, so that you don't spend time on listings that aren't of interest. As you compare your options, I can provide you with important information about the home, its neighborhood, zoning, utilities, and nearby plans for development. I also attend property inspections, make sure any and all agreed-on repair work is carried out, and handle paperwork related to the sale.
